Frequently Asked Questions
Maybe you've asked your question before, or maybe you haven't heard the right answer. However, should you have a specific question, please don't hesitate to contact me below.
Do you just design in Maryland?
Actually, I design for anyone in the U.S. of A. But Locally, for clients who like to have personal meetings for briefings, I can meet anywhere in the Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland Areas (a.k.a. the DMV).
How much for a logo?
The creation of a logo is based on value. Think about your business. How much is it worth to you? Is it worth $5? $50? The design that is created, needs to identify with your business and its target market. Don't just buy a logo. Hire me because you're getting it done through discovery, research, and proper development of your business identity.
Plenty of $5 designers, but are they developing a design tailored to your business? If the answer is no, then get it done right the first time.
But how much does a logo cost?
Certainly not $5. Get out of here with that shit.
How long does it take to design my logo?
Depending on the complexity of the project, and your response time, I like to keep it to 2 weeks, but no more than 4. Rush tickets are available on a need by need basis.
How many logo design concepts do I get?
Following the design phase, I typically present 2 to 3 logo concepts. From those concepts we narrow it down to one option and refine. optimize and finalize. Can the process take longer? Depends on my client work load and your response time to get back to me when submitting for review.
What if I need a revision done to my logo?
During the design phase, revisions are looked into carefully so that the final concepts only need a few tweaks to get it looking optimized for finalization. If you are looking to make changes after the agreed design and final payment has been made, then you can be subject to an hourly rate to make the change. The hourly rate is $125/hr.
What if I don't like the logo concepts at all?
The design concepts are based on the design brief which you can take a look at the process to see more. The design brief will include information about your business and it will cover design notes and ideas from our initial meeting.
Everything done with the design is based off the design brief. Should you change your mind from the initial design brief, I require a notice of change within 24 hours after our first initial meeting. Understanding your design requires knowing who your target audience will be, your competitors, and your location (are you just being local? nationwide? International?). My job as a designer is to cooperate with you and ensure we are on the same page to reach all the goals agreed upon.
Before I start any briefing or sketching, I collect either 1/2 or 1/3 of the project as a non-refundable payment.
Who owns the copyright to the logo design?
Once the logo is completed and you have paid your balance, the final logo design concept is transfered to you and your business. I only keep concepts that were not chosen and get to use the final design I share in my portfolio.
